Zip Lining Outdoor Activities for Kids

Majority of the kids nowadays spend a lot of time playing with their tabs, smartphones, gaming consoles instead of exploring the real world outdoors. To give your kids a new level of excitement, I’m sharing this Kids’ Zipline kit which allows you to place a zipline in your backyard, or a camp, or wherever you go, and is capable of supporting a kid of up to 250 lbs.

Zip-lines come in many forms, most often used as a means of entertainment and are becoming popular vacation activities. They may be short and low, intended for child’s play, team building activities and larger challenge or ropes course.

The Kids’ Zipline is created for kids who are aged 7 and above and it feature an easily removable seat to boot, with a specially designed hardware bracket that enables both rope and seat length to change in order to make an adjustment for different riders’ height. Just make sure that you attach it to a healthy tree that measures at least 12” in diameter. I guess adults, too, are able to give it a go.
Setting up your Zipline is simple and just takes a few minutes. Carefully following the instructions as a beginner is very important. The seat can be easily removed for more daring excitement.

DiDi an Educational Teddy Bear for Kids

I’m sure that we all had our very special toy/stuff that we grew up with, like mine for example was a feathered blanket and I have used it until I’ve graduated from high school. For others, it can be a stuffed-animal toy like a bear, panda, frog or whatever it is. As I’ve observed, while kids today still have teddy bears, they often pay more attention now with gadgets unlike before.

Giving your kids a smartphone or tablet is a great way to entertain them for hours, but it should be more of an educational rather than just letting them play for hours without learning anything. While searching for an advance stuffed-toy, I’ve just come across with this website where in they invented a teddy bear named DiDi that can teach the fundamentals of reading and colors and shapes to kids 3+. Aside from that kids can feed and take care of him like brushing its teeth using his Magic Touch toys and play games.

The DiDi teddy bear is hoping to bridge the gap between entertainment and learning. This is a teddy bear cover for iPads, and corresponds with an app that will teach reading, and work as a sort of Tamagotchi. Currently there are three “belly books”, 3 educational games, and responses for interactions.

Mom invents a harness to help her son walk

While searching for a mom-related story, I’ve just come across with this very inspiring article about a boy born with a cerebral palsy and her mom Debby Elnatan wanted to find a way for her son Rotem to be able to walk so she invented a device called Upsee that can be used by kids with disabilities to walk along with their parents.

Firefly Upsee is a harness that allows children to stand upright, attached to their parents by a series of straps, with their feet fastened into rubber shoes. The parent essentially acts as the exoskeleton, keeping the kid upright and as the parent walks, the child is able to move along with them. Let us all share her wonderful invention with the world as it can help a lot of kids with disabilities without the need of spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Here’s a promo video from Firefly, a Northern Ireland firm that developed the Upsee, showing off how it benefits children and interviewing parents that have been using one with their kid.
